Diving and Snorkeling Information Ocean-Pro Dive Team is a PADI Gold Palm centre (from 2004 5*IDC) under Swiss management. Our facilities include 3 air-conditioned classrooms with TV/Video. PADI course materials are available in: English, German, French, Italian, Spanish. We offer all PADI courses from beginner to Assistant Instructor (from 2004 Instructors) and many speciality courses. Snorkeling Excursion Reef Snorkeling Excursion And Snorkeling Courses 5 days a week (morning or afternoon) we offer our 2 hour snorkeling excursion and Reef Snorkeling Excursion. With a Maldivian Dhoni (traditional boat) we visit 2 different reefs in the North Male Atoll. The tours are guided and supervised by an Instructor or Dive master who gives detailed reef briefings, explanations and information about the marine life. Very often Dolphins are seen during the trip. These trips are great fun for everyone. For those with little snorkeling experience we offer advice and instruction. Snorkeling courses for beginners are scheduled regularly. Minimum age: 8 years. Discover Scuba: Introductory dive in shallow water - Minimum age:
10 years. Discover Scuba Diving (DSD): Open water reef dive to a max depth of 12 m. This dive is supervised and guided by an Instructor. An introductory dive (DS) has to be completed before going on a Discover Scuba dive. After completing a Discover Scuba Diving program more guided 12m dives can be made. PADI Scuba Diver (PSD): Certification course over 2 days. This certification is internationally recognised and valid for life. Minimum age: 10 years. PADI Open Water Diver (OWD): Certification course over 4 days. Certification is internationally recognised and valid for life. Minimum age: 10 years. The PADI Open Water Diver: certification is a prerequisite for all continued education courses. PADI Advanced Open Water Diver: (AOWD) This 2 day course is for certified divers to improve and refine their diving skills. The course includes 5 speciality dives such as UW-Navigation, Deep Dive, UW-Naturalist, Drift Dive, Night Dive, UW-Photography just to name a few. Emergency First Response (EFR): 1day medic first aid program. EFR certification is a prerequisite for Rescue Diver certification. This course is internationally recognised. Rescue Diver: This is a 3 day course. The students learn master problem management, rescue and self rescue skills. Speciality Courses: We offer many speciality courses, duration: 1- 4 days:

Beginner courses (DS / DSD / *PSD / *OWD) also include full equipment and *logbook Special Events Every Tuesday at 9.15 p.m.DIVERS NIGHT Very popular dive show presented by Ocean-Pro Dive Team. Includes underwater films - produced by our ex-base leader - shown on a big screen. Guests who have completed diving courses receive their diplomas. A short film presents an overview of Ocean-Pros diving and snorkeling activities. The Dive Centre staff answer questions and give information. Fun and entertainment for divers and non-divers. Dive Centre / Retail Shop Open daily from 8.30-12.00 13.45-18.00 hrs Check-In, information, equipment rental for snorkellers and divers Retail shop sells diving and snorkeling gear, Polo- & T-Shirts, DVDs, books and more. The dive centre is? the meeting point for all underwater fans. Diving / Boat Schedule Every day we offer trips to at least 4-8 different dive sites. Regularly scheduled are: early morning dives / morning dives / afternoon dives / night dives / 2-tank dives / full day trips We offer a wide range of diving and offer boats to different types of dive sites every day. There are easy dives for less experienced divers and more demanding dives for experienced divers. On request we guide also experienced divers without extra charge. Nitrox fills are available without extra charge. We offer PADI NITROX courses. Dive Boats & Safety On Board Available are 5 maldivian dhonis each staffed with 3-4 boat crew. All trips are accompanied by 1-3 Instructors / Divemasters. Average number of divers per boat is 10 passengers (max 18, min 4). Also available is a customised speed boat (Catamaran, 11 m, 2 x 200 hp outboard engines). Maximum capacity: 10 divers. This boat gives us access to all dive sites within the North Male Atoll. Every boat is equipped with: 1 Wenoll oxygen delivery system, 1 medic first aid box, 1 box with spare equipment, radio, GPS, life jackets Dive Sites / Seasons / Marine Life We offer more than 50 dive sites. The level of difficulty varies from easy to very difficult (thilas, giris, farus and channels).
>Average water temperature: 28?C Whitetip Reef Sharks can be seen all year. Meeru is well known for its big turtle population. Outside reefs in particular offer good possibilities to see these wonderful creatures. Our Highlights for 2 Tank Dive- and Fullday Trips:
>Bodu Thila - Beautiful thila with excellent coral growth and
fish life Meeru is surrounded by a big, beautiful lagoon. There is no typical house reef. Therefore all dives are boat dives. The lagoon is home to a great variety of marine life with interesting coral formations and colourful fish life in shallow water. It is perfect for snorkellers and for diver training. There is no need to book and pay your diving in advance. We have got enough capacity and equipment to meet your requirements. The member discount is only valid for payment on Meeru. It is always a good idea to bring a medical certificate. A medical certificate declaring the person fit for scuba diving must be presented in cases of any pre-existing physical or mental condition or disease and/or regular use of medication.
